As a family of believers, there are amazing things that happen when we decide to follow Jesus.
Our sins are forgiven, we get into relationship with the Father we have the promise of heaven and we have the gift of the Holy Spirit. So today I thought I would talk to you about the Prince of peace, the God of love and that power of the Holy Spirit to endure whatever comes our way.
Discipleship is a lot easier than we think it is. Maybe you’ve been in church for a while, and you’ve never been trained nor told that you can and are called to make disciples. So often we just assume discipleship is for the church staff and pastors. But if you follow Jesus, you are called to make disciples right where you’re at.
As believers, we know who God is. We know God is love, good, and kind. We hear it at church every Sunday. We are reminded during the difficult seasons by our friends. If we grew up in the church, we heard is a lot as a kid. But has this knowledge of God’s goodness transferred from our head to our heart?
Today I’ll share with you how to go from “under the circumstances” to taking authority over them. We all have times when we look at the circumstances and they seem overwhelming. What should we do at these times?
Unfortunately many of the tracks that we choose to step on lead to destruction, unhappiness, boredom, or a feeling of a void. There are so many tracks to choose from that sometimes we forget what Jesus told us to do- “But seek first his kingdom and his righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well” Matthew 6:33. As we get on the right track we may ask ourselves, can I endure this till the end?
The more we pursue our relationship with the Lord and read the word, the greater victories we will have, which will have a greater impact on more people. Get excited about your victories and really get excited about others who have victories because you overcame.
What does your life look life today? Are you living in fear and worry? Or, are you living in victory and confidence because you know God is greater than this world? God wants the reality of who He is to invade our world so that we are walking as confidence children every single day, no matter what trial we may face.
Have you ever been misunderstood? My assumption is yes. Of course. If you have had any contact with another human in the past 48 hours, most likely you have been misunderstood. We live in a world where people will misunderstand us- It’s inevitable. If that’s the case, then what are we to do? How can we handle these encounters with grace?
When Jesus called you out, He set a plan in motion to redeem, restore, and transform your entire life. He also put plans in place to use you for His glory- to be a part of His mission in reconciling the world back to His heart. If you are struggling today, wondering if God sees you or hears you- please take heart- He has NOT forgotten about you. Keep seeking Him with your whole heart. His plans will be laid out for you in the perfect way and time.
