Wisdom is a Miracle in Advance

That phrase, ‘wisdom is a miracle in advance’ when I first thought about it, I asked myself, “what does that mean?” Then, after a while the light bulb went off. Here’s what I started to realize for my life;

Fitness:  A nutritionist or doctor shares with you and a friend about exercise, eating more fruits and vegetables, staying away from certain foods such as fast foods, processed foods, certain beverages, exc. You decide not to follow the advice, but your friend decides to follow it to the T. So years later, you’re at the doctors, and you find out that you need a miracle, and your friend that took the advice doesn’t. The reason for that is that your friend’s miracle came because she took the wisdom.

Finances:  Again, there are two individuals that want to know how to budget and invest their money so they can have financial security. They go to an advisor and one decides not to take the advice, and years later are in financial ruin, and now need a miracle to get them through. The other has plenty of resources not only for themselves, but to bless others. That person took the wisdom.

“If any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask God, who gives generously to all without reproach, and it will be given him.” James 1:5

Family: Two couples go to a marriage counselor because they are having issues. The one couple takes the time each day to incorporate all the great wisdom and go on to be married to death do them part. The other couple walks out and decides they are too busy with their jobs, hobbies, fun, exc. to take the time each day to make those few changes. Their marriage ends up in separation, and now they need a miracle. The other couple took the advice and are now more in love than ever. As you can see in life, there are many times when wisdom comes your way. And the best advice would be to take it so you don’t need a miracle down the road!

Faith: The same holds true about your faith. Each one of us usually along the way of our journey of life is posed with the question, or the thoughts just come to our mind, ‘is there a God?’  Some decide to pursue that relationship and live a life blessed with joy, peace, love, and a great quality of life knowing that the promise of God grants them eternal life! Many others turn their back on that wisdom and end up in fear, doubt, discouragement, and sometimes terror thinking about when this life ends… is this all that there is? They are now in a position where they literally need a miracle and hopefully someone has been praying for them that God shows up or that they make a decision with God (Jesus) as that time nears. Again the people that make that decision early on live on earth as it is in heaven.

… "Everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved." Romans 10:13

As you look back on life, there are many opportunities where you can choose wisdom in advance so you don’t need a miracle down the road.

“Blessed is the one who finds wisdom, and the one who gets understanding, for the gain from her is better than gain from silver and her profit better than gold. She is more precious than jewels, and nothing you desire can compare with her. Long life is in her right hand; in her left hand are riches and honor. Her ways are ways of pleasantness, and all her paths are peace.” Proverbs 3:15-18
