Unlimited Potential

Just some thoughts to show you how powerful you can be:

When I realized how connected we really were to Jesus, it was one of those ‘aha!’ moments. In John 15 it says that God is the vine dresser and Jesus is the vine and it refers to us as the branch. Yes, we’re connected!! We all want to be productive, successful and we want to produce. What this chapter goes on to encourage us is to stay connected to Jesus;

“Remain in me, as I also remain in you. No branch can bear fruit by itself; it must remain in the vine. Neither can you bear fruit unless you remain in me.” John 15:4

There are various examples of illustrations of Jesus doing signs, wonders, and miracles as He healed the sick, cast out demons, and raised people from the dead. He made a statement that He would soon go to the father;

“Very truly I tell you, whoever believes in me will do the works I have been doing, and they will do even greater things than these, because I am going to the Father.” John 14:12

I probably like yourself when I first read this statement from Jesus said, “really?! I can do greater things than Him?!” As I continued to search scriptures after the resurrection, He said to them these amazing words; “And these signs will accompany those who believe: In my name they will drive out demons… they will place their hands on sick people, and they will get well” Mark 16:17-18

As I meditated on that scripture I realized that He was talking to anybody that believed. So I looked at the accomplishments of myself and many of the goals and I realized based on what Jesus said I could do I was not tapping into the unlimited potential that He said all of us have within us (The Holy Spirit);

“But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit comes on you; and you will be my witnesses… to the ends of the earth.” Acts 1:8

When I started to read about some of the acts of His disciples through their belief, they accomplished many of the same signs and wonders as Jesus did. In Acts 3, Peter healed the lame beggar, and Stephen in Acts was performing many signs and wonders. Philip in Acts 8:6-7 healed and cast out unclean spirits. There are many more examples throughout the bible and many documented believers over the years. I tell you these thoughts because as many of us strive for things of this world through our own will power, we accomplish many great things through giving, serving, and helping others, think for a moment of how much more we could accomplish if we just tapped into what Jesus said is available.

Take a moment to think about some things that you deemed impossible, but now because of the words of Jesus, you know ARE possible. With this new destiny you could leave a lasting legacy! Only believe!!

“…that all of them may be one, Father, just as you are in me and I am in you. May they also be in us so that the world may believe that you have sent Me.” John 17:21
